Getting Into Canada
with a DUI

A large practice area of ours is getting into Canada with a DUI. Though it can be difficult to cross the border with a conviction on yur record, it is possible. The two options you have available to you for entering Canada with DUI include:

1Temporary Resident Permit: This permit allows entry into Canada on a temporary basis for up to 3 years. You must show that you have a valid and urgent reason to be in the country.

2Criminal Rehabilitation: To be deemed rehabilitated, you must have completed your sentence or probation a minimum of 5 years prior and have kept a clean record. This process does take time, usually around 9 months, but it deals with the issue for good.
